So for my Concept drawing midterm, I have to design a non automotive Porsche product. I chose lawnmowers. Does this give off a Porsche vibe to you guys?

Could you do a riding lawnmower?

I see more McLaren in it just because of the headlight thing... May just be me

Like this?
I Think I need to mess with the perspective a bit

I think what could help is if you worked with just the Porsche profile first. It's the least changed thing over the history.
Lawnmowers don't need windows. Unless that's where the grass shoots out.
I think the front end needs to be the same width as the track. Looks off with it being more narrow at the front.

Ya, I was afraid I'd have to start over. I think I went too far off book

I think there's a bit of a difference between the design language of Porsche cars, and other things designed by Porsche Design.
If you google Porsche Design, you can see that they go for a very plain, almost Bauhaus look.
It seems to me that you're trying to draw a lawnmower that looks like a Porsche, rather than a Porsche Design lawnmower.

Oh my god, thats the epiphany I needed. I researched Porsche design the first day I started this project, and completely abandoned it the day after. I wish I didnt. Thanks!

Here's my interpretation of a 911 lawnmower. That is the extent of my artistic abilities.

I concur. I did a similar project at university for Alfa Romeo, and while it's easy to knock something up that looks like a headlight or a part of the car, it's a lot harder to pick out design cues and aesthetic hints to make a product that says 'Alfa' without looking anything like an Alfa. Porsche have this down to a tee; and their colour scheme and font support it.

The engine needs to be hanging off the back of the handle.
